THURDAY, NOV.8, 6PM. Jerry’s Andersonville will offer two versions of Half Acre’s newer Vallejo IPA. On tap will be a keg of regular Half Acre Vallejo, which uses citra hops (orange, tangerine) and Nelson hops (earth, white grape), and then at 6pm Jerry’s will tap a cask of an experimental dry-hopped Vallejo using simcoe hops (pine, citrus). ”Dry hopping” is a technique where additional hops are added to the young brew late in the fermentation cycle for an bigger hop kick. Should be an interesting comparison, especially of this highly regarded IPA.
