ANDERSONVILLE, SATURDAY, MAY 18. A Jerry Craft Beer Week event – two brewers hailing from Ipswich, MA take over the taps. Clown Shoes celebrates their 3rd anniversary with Clementine, Galactica IPA, Blaecorn Unidragon, Porcine Unidragon, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Blaecorn Unidragon, and Luchador de Muerte. Brash Brewing celebrates their Chicago debut with Item Nine Wheat IPA, Texas Exile Coffee Porter, Hot Fuzz (a bourbon barrel-aged Texas Exile, the only one to come to Chicago), and Smoglifter Chocolate Stout.

Sample year-round and rare brews from Allagash of Portland, Maine, including Blonde, Tripel, Grand Cru, Interlude, Odyssey, Bourbon Black, and the pub-only Midnight Brett! Allagash rep Ben Iversen will be here to talk Allagash beer and, while supplies last, give out Allagash glassware.

WICKER PARK & ANDERSONVILLE, MONDAY, MAY 20. It’s another Jerry Craft Beer Week event, with our pals from Solemn Oath Brewing taking over both Jerry’s for the night. We’ll be pouring Solemn Oath beer with a brewer/owner present at both Jerry’s, along with Viking films on our screens and a soundtrack of Nordic Metal. Beer list TBD, but tentatively eight taps and one firkin at each. Live rock bands, Chicago’s own Dumpster Babies and Slushy, will start after 10:00 pm at Wicker Park only.

And visit our pals at Small Bar for taste of West Coast IPA’s, and Bangers & Lace for East Coast IPA’s. Here’s our lineup:

Perennial shows off its report card with excellent marks. 10 beers with “A” ratings strut their stuff – Saison de Lis, Hommel Bier, IPA #6 Black IPA, Plan B Belgian Strong Ale with Black Currants (collaboration with Half Acre), Black Walnut Dunkelweisse with Missouri Black Walnuts, Vermillion English Barleywine, Heart of Gold GABF Silver winning Wheat Wine, 17 Mint Chocolate Stout, Fantastic Voyage Milk Stout with Coconut, Abraxas Mexican Chocolate Stout.

THE DEAD & THE DOGFISH

TENTATIVELY TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1ST. On the drawing board, Jerry’s (who else?) will host Dogfish Head’s midwest release of American Beauty, the next of their music series, a liquid homage to the Grateful Dead’s classic 1970 release. In addition to American Beauty, Jerry’s will offer many other Dogfish drafts including some rare and possibly never seen outside of the Delaware brewpub, plus a top notch Dead cover band.
